On July 28, colorful flags fluttered at the site of Unit 1 of the first phase of Huaneng Shandong Shidao Bay Nuclear Power Expansion Project, and construction workers were busy shuttling back and forth. With a command, the Zoomlion concrete pump truck on site poured the first cubic meter of concrete into the nuclear island through the pipeline, marking the official start of the project. This is another breakthrough achieved by the base in the construction of independent third-generation nuclear power "Hualong One" units since the world's first fourth-generation nuclear power plant was put into commercial operation here in December last year.

The expansion project that started construction this time uses my country's third-generation nuclear power technology "Hualong One". The appearance of the reactor building of the No. 1 nuclear island of the project is cylindrical, with a raft foundation radius of 27 meters and a thickness of 3.7 meters. The steel mesh and pipeline mesh are densely covered. In addition, the geological structure is complex, and it is difficult to complete the raft foundation concrete pouring on schedule and with quality. After multiple comparisons, the construction party finally chose ZOOMLION concrete machinery to take the lead and provide strong support for the project construction.

During this pouring operation, the project party optimized the process and planned for the first time to synchronize the construction with the surrounding plant raft foundation. During the peak period on site, 8 pouring equipment were started at the same time for collaborative operation to ensure the efficiency and stability of the construction process. The entire construction is expected to pour more than 8,800 cubic meters of concrete. The main ZOOMLION concrete equipment includes 4 70-meter pump trucks and 63-meter, 56-meter, 52-meter and other multi-meter pump truck equipment, as well as multiple 4.0 series vehicle-mounted pumps.

Among them, ZOOMLION's 70-meter pump truck is the industry's first pump truck to exceed 70 meters within the 55-ton weight range, with obvious quality and performance advantages. At the same time, the one-button control function on ZOOMLION's concrete pump truck can reduce the operator's work intensity of controlling the boom by more than 40%, greatly improving efficiency. "We poured for three consecutive days and three nights! A total of more than 8,000 cubic meters of concrete, with full pipe discharge throughout the process, and the boom was very stable." The on-site operator exclaimed.

It is understood that the expansion project uses the third-generation nuclear power technology "Hualong One", with a single unit capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, which is a landmark achievement of my country's independent innovation in nuclear power technology. After the project is completed, the annual power generation will exceed 20 billion kilowatt-hours, the heating area will be nearly 20 million square meters, and the population of 600,000 will benefit, providing clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient electricity and heat supply for the Shandong Peninsula.
