On the afternoon of February 9, the generator stator of Unit 2 of Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant No. 2 was successfully replaced in place by hoisting with the top of the plant for the first time. This is also the first time that the generator stator has been replaced in a nuclear power plant in the country. ZOOMLION's crane completed this difficult project accurately, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent power increase of the unit and making an important contribution to the safe and stable operation of the nuclear power plant.

As the core component of a nuclear power plant, the generator stator is responsible for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy, as well as supporting, dissipating heat, insulating protection and forming a magnetic field. Its disassembly and installation precision requirements are extremely high, and the hoisting is extremely difficult. The old stator replaced by Unit 2 of Qinshan Second Nuclear Power Plant weighs 347t, and the new stator weighs 325t.

This hoisting work requires the new and old stators to be accurately hoisted in and out from the turbine plant maintenance platform from the hoisting hole on the top of the plant, passing through important production areas such as the turbine plant and main transformer. It is a very risky and challenging task. With its outstanding performance in the field of nuclear power hoisting, the removal of the old stator and the installation of the new stator of the generator of Unit 2 of Qinshan Second Nuclear Power Plant were undertaken by ZOOMLION's 2000t crawler crane, with a maximum operating radius of 58m.

During the hoisting process, ZOOMLION's crane faced many complex challenges such as the narrow site for hanging rigging, high-altitude operation of personnel, excessive equipment quality and high technical requirements. With excellent quality and performance, it completed the removal of the roof cover, hoisting out the old stator, hoisting in the new stator, seating the new stator, and reinstalling the roof, and completed the task accurately, safely and smoothly.
